AI Safety · Southeast Asia · Pilot Cohort
An on-ramp into AI alignment, built for Southeast Asia.
Odysea is a free, 8-week pilot for anyone in SEA curious about AI alignment: weekday evenings, topics shaped by the group, sessions led by local TAs and inspired by Iliad's curriculum.
Free to join. This is Southeast Asia's first OdySEA pilot, shaped with input from Iliad instructors.
Who it's for
Built for the AI curious, not just AI researchers
These are examples, not requirements. If you're curious and motivated to think seriously about AI safety, you're welcome.
How to join
Two ways in, pick your level of commitment
Both tracks run on the same weekly sessions and the same curriculum. The difference is structure, not content, and there's no cost either way.
What we'll cover
An on-ramp inspired by Iliad's curriculum
Odysea is a lighter, more introductory take on Iliad's curriculum, shaped with input from individual Iliad instructors. The clusters below are illustrative, not a fixed schedule.
A few of these lean more mathematical than others. A technical background helps, but it's not assumed going in.
The model behind this
Modeled on TARA's track record, with one key difference
Odysea has no outcomes of its own yet, as our first pilot, but the underlying model does: TARA adapted ARENA into a part-time, locally adapted program and measurably widened who enters the field. TARA's cohorts leaned implementation-focused; Odysea tests whether the same format works for a more theoretical, math/CS-leaning introduction, since Southeast Asia's pipeline doesn't have one yet.
